The aim of this course is to equip the student with the knowledge, skills and attitude to bring students to a level of competence of Cardiac First Response for adults, infant and child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. Additionally to develop skills for the relief of foreign body airway obstruction as well as the administration of aspirin for cardiac chest pain.
Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in learning CPR, AED use and other life saving skills. Also suitable for parents, teachers, child-carers, minders and baby sitters.
No previous experience is necessary

PHECC CFR Community Certificate - Recognised by the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council of Ireland.
Certificate valid for two years
Each student is advised that in order to maintain a readiness to maintain CPR/AED skills, as the retention of skills for CPR & the use of an AED are known to rapidly diminish, it is recommended that retention CPR/AED skills training occurs as frequently as practicable.
The retention training may take the form of a brief practicable skills session.
