It is a legal requirement for employers to carryout Display Screen Equipment Assessments (VDU) under section 6 and 12 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. Employers must have the assessment completed by a competent person, have the assessment in writing and within the parameters set down for Display Screen Equipment under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act General Application Regulations 2007.
